Preparing New Part

Adhesive technology in the area of the outer skin (not for structural adhesion):
The bonding surfaces of the new parts may not sharpened or ground.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Check ground pins and replace if necessary

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Check the ground pins (1) for stability and renew if necessary.

Cut out the area (1) as shown in figure.
Bend the area (2) inward along the bending line (3) .

The bores (1) can be extended in diameter by a maximum of 10 mm.

Adjust and secure the tail cowling (1) in combination with the trunk lid and tail lights.

In area (1) , set 13 bores of 4.2 mm diameter for blind rivet.

In area (1) , set 3 bores of 4.2 mm diameter for blind rivet.
In areas (2) , prepare two MAG weld seams with a length of 20 mm.

Prepare areas (1) and (2) for joining using the bonded rivet method (punch rivets).
Remove new parts and deburr bores.
