Remove Engine Mount

- Unscrew the flow drill screws in the areas (1) and (2) .
- Detach the rivet connectors in the areas (3) .
- Heat and detach the adhesive bonds in the areas (1)
through (3)
. Do not damage the aluminum spring support in the process!
- Perform the separating cut (1) as shown. Do not damage the aluminum spring support (2) in the process!
- Remove the engine mount section.
- Open welded connections in area (1) .
- Release the self-tapping screws in area (2) .
- Heat and release the bonded connection in area (2) .
- Remove reinforcement (3)
.
- Make separating cuts (1) as shown. Detach engine mount section-wise.
- Use a file belt sander to partially unscrew the flow drill screw (2) and detach the rivet connectors in the areas (3) .
- Heat and detach the adhesive bonds in the areas (2)
and (3)
.
- Unscrew the flow drill screws and detach the rivet connectors in the areas (1) .
- Heat and detach the adhesive bonds in the areas (1) and remove the connecting plate (2) .
