Removing the spring strut holder

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
• Refer to IF INSTALLED: REMOVING THE HUB CAP .
• Refer to LOOSENING THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM THE WHEEL BEARING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR LEFT OR RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LATERAL HOOD SEAL .
• Refer to PARTIALLY DETACHING FRONT AIR SUSPENSION .
• Refer to DETACHING THE UPPER WISHBONE FROM THE SWIVEL BEARING .
• Refer to ATTACHING SWIVEL BEARING IN INSTALLATION POSITION .

• Release nut (1)  .
• Remove the screw (2)  .

Releasing the anti-roll bar link from the spring strut holder 

• Unfasten nut (1)  .

• Releasing the anti-roll bar link (2)  from the spring strut holder.

• Release the screw (2)  from the spring strut holder (1)  .

• Expand spring strut holder (1) with special tool 2 414 636. 
• Protecting the output shaft from damage with a towel is mandatory (2)  .
• Feed out and remove the spring strut holder (1)  downward.
