Removing the tailgate lock

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .

• Disconnect plug connection (1).
• Detach the cable (2).
• Loosen screws (3).
• Remove the tailgate lock (4).
