51 11... Attaching/replacing support for number plate (using laser) (330i xDrive Wagon, 328d xDrive Wagon)

Special tools required: 

• 2 407 566

The installation of other license plate baseplates is not permissible.

The number plate must be precisely mounted on the number plate baseplate.

If a number plate baseplate is not offered for the corresponding national-market version, the number plate must be screwed directly onto the bumper using a drilling template.

Incorrect assembly leads to a malfunction of the sensors of the driver assist systems.

Set vehicle and special tool 2 407 566 on a flat surface.

Switch on laser (Position without automatic level).

Activate laser horizontally and vertically.

F30/F31 USA/Japan without active cruise control (ACC): 

Mark center of support (1).

Position and center special tool 2 407 566 in front of the vehicle.

Align vertical laser line (2) in the center of the vehicle (Ex: BMW badge).

Align support (1) with vertical laser line and contour of bumper panel.

Mark attachment point.

Remove special tool 2 407 566.

Screw down support (1) on the marked attachment point.

F30/F31 USA/Japan with active cruise control (ACC): 

Mark center of support (1).

Position and center special tool 2 407 566 in front of the vehicle.

Align vertical laser line (2) in the center of the vehicle (Ex: BMW badge).

Align support (1) with vertical laser line and contour of bumper panel.

Mark attachment point.

Remove special tool 2 407 566.

Screw down support (1) on the marked attachment point.
