Installing the universal joint
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The universal joint can be mounted only in one position.
The universal joint and the steering gear or the steering shaft are encoded to each other.
The clamping bolt must be positioned in the groove of the steering gear or the steering shaft.

The clamping bolt must be positioned in the groove of the steering gear or the steering shaft.
- Clean any residue of the screw locking agent on the screw thread.
- Slide the universal joint through the front axle support onto the steering gear from the back.
- Replace the screw (1).
Parts: Screw
- Tighten down screw (1).

tightening torque | 28 Nm |
- Clean the screw threads to remove all remnants of screw lock agent.
- Push the universal joint (2) onto the steering shaft.
- Replace the screw (1).

- Tighten down screw (1).
