Installing the gas pressure spring for tailgate

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid  .
Injury hazard! 

• Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

• Install the gas pressure spring (3) and fit it with the ball socket (2) on the ball hub and engage it with force.

  Check the clamp (1) is fitted correctly.
