Remove the 12-V power socket (1) from the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel.

Replace the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel.

Installing the storage net

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Measure the reference dimension on the template (1) and cut it out as shown.
As shown, position template (1) on the frame (2) and fasten using adhesive tape.
Drill holes all the way through at the marks using the ø 6.5 mm drill bit from the special tools 5 A63 022 .
Remove the template (1).

Screw the holder (1) into the bores.

Measure the reference dimension on the template (1) and cut it out as shown.
As shown, position template (1) on the frame (2) and fasten using adhesive tape.
Drill holes all the way through at the marks using the ø 10 mm drill bit from the special tools 5 A63 022 .
Remove the template (1).

Insert the holder (1) into the bores and lock in place correctly.

Insert storage net (1) in the holder at the top as pictured and snap it in correctly at the holders at the bottom.

Punch the contour of the 12 V socket

Measure the reference dimension on the template (1) and cut it out as shown.
Place the template (1) as shown on the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) and attach it with the adhesive tape.
Drill through a cylinder bore of ø 10 mm on the mark with the drill from the special tool 5 A63 022 .
Remove the template (1).

Install the special tool 5 A63 022 as shown and press together by turning the screw (1) clockwise.
Release the screw (1) after cutting through the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel and remove the special tool 5 A63 022 .

Cut out the template (1) as shown, place it again and attach it with the adhesive tape.
Carefully cut out the groove for the 12 V socket with a suitable tool from the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel.
Remove the template (1).

Install 12 V socket (1) in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel.
Pay attention to the guide (2) in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel.

Tighten the 12 V power socket on the retaining ring (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Retaining ring	tightening torque	3 Nm
