Removing the front module bracket

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip wiring harness (2) on the module bracket using a suitable tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329) .
- Detach rubber grommet (3) of the Bowden cable for the door opener.
- Release nuts (1).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Open bayonet fittings (1) by turning them.
- Remove the module bracket (2). Guide out Bowden cable (3) for the door opener from module bracket (2) while doing this.
- Unclip wiring harness (1) from the module bracket using a suitable tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329)

- Detach the power windows (1) from the module bracket at the detents (2).
- Remove the module bracket.
