Removing the control unit for the contact detection

NOTE:
Technical information
The steering wheel and horn plate must be replaced if the airbag unit has been deployed.
Check all steering wheel attachments (such as switches, cover, shift paddles, wiring harness) for damage and replace if necessary!

Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE AIRBAG UNIT (SPORTS STEERING WHEEL) .
- Refer to IF INSTALLED: REMOVING SHIFT PADDLES FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER FOR THE SPORT STEERING WHEEL .
- Pull the control unit (1) out of the steering wheel.
- Unlock and disconnect both plug connections (1) on the control unit (2).
