Removing the 12V dual storage system
WARNING:
Working on 12V electrical system.
Risk of short circuits! risk of fire!

- Make sure that there is No charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to IF INSTALLED: REMOVING STRUT BRACE IN THE REAR OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT .

- Loosen the detents (1).
- Remove the positive terminal cover (2).
- Loosen nut (3).
- Remove battery rollover protection bracket (4).
- Unlock plug connection (5) and disconnect.
- Loosen nut (1).
- Detach positive battery cable (2) from the positive battery terminal and fix it to the side.
WARNING:
Unprotected battery terminals.

- Cover the vehicle battery.
- Open the grab handle and remove 12V dual storage battery (3).
