- Position the sleeve 5 A3B 930
on the rotor shaft all the way to the stop.
- Position the center punch (3) at an angle relative to the sleeve 5 A3B 930 in the groove (2) of the dust guard ring (1) as shown.
- With the center punch (3) in the illustrated position, make a punch mark in the groove (2) of the dust guard ring (3).
- Position the drill with drill bit (2) at an angle relative to the sleeve 5 A3B 930
in the punch mark of the dust guard ring (1) as shown.
Drill (2): Diameter 3 mm
- With the drill bit (2) in the illustrated position, drill a hole through the dust guard ring (1).
After drilling through, drill (2) hits the radial shaft seal to be replaced. There is no risk of damage.
- Remove sleeve 5 A3B 930 from the rotor shaft.
- Screw the puller 0 491 455 (23 0 491)
into the bore of the dust guard ring (1) at an angle as shown.
- Remove dust guard ring (1) using puller 0 491 455 (23 0 491).
- Position mandrel (2) at an angle to the rotor shaft on radial shaft seal (1) as shown.
- Twist radial shaft seal (1) by striking mandrel (2) as shown.
- Position wedge 2 298 505
and screwdriver (2) as shown.
Wedge 2 298 505 serves to protect the housing from damage.
- Using screwdriver (2), radial shaft seal (1).
