Remove the door sill trim panel
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SILL TRIM .

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the nut (2).
- Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
- Release the door sill trim panel (1) with a suitable tool starting with the detents at the rear (2).
- Slide the door sill trim panel towards the front in arrow direction in order to release the detents (1) from the retaining strip (2).
- Release the door sill trim panel with the detents (1) from the retaining strip (2) and remove with the assistance of a second person.
