Removing the luggage compartment cover

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING REAR WINDOW STORAGE SHELF AT FRONT .

Precondition 

Rear seat backrest is folded.

• Attach the special tool 2 298 505 as shown.
• Release the cover of the luggage compartment side shelf beginning from the rear with the clamps (1) and the detent (2).
• Feed the cover of the luggage compartment side shelf out of the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.

• Loosen the detents (1).
• Release the cover of the luggage compartment trim panel with the clip (2) and remove.
