Removing right rear door trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Remove rear door trim
- Pull the door opener.
- Attach a suitable special tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329) at the recess in area (1).
- Unclip the cover of the door handle (2) with the detents (3).
- Guide out the cover of door opener (2) from the detents and remove it to the front.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Attach a suitable special tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329) at the recess in area (1).
- Unclip and remove the cover of the handle recess (2) with the detents (3).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Guide the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) into the recess of the door trim panel.
- Lift and unclip the door trim panel (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
in the area (2).
- Ensure that the seal of the module bracket (1) is not damaged by the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
.
- Starting from the disassembly point (1), release and unclip the door trim panel (2) alternately on the left and right at the clips (3).
- Ensure that the piping (1) in the marked area is not damaged during disassembly.
- Detach the door trim panel (1) with the detents (2).
- Lift the door trim panel (1) up over the operating rod (3).NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Detach the detent (1) and feed out the Bowden cable for the door handle (2).
During this, the Bowden cable for the door handle (2) automatically feeds out of the door handle.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (3) and remove the door trim panel.
