Lowering the headlining (with sliding/tilting sunroof)
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SUN VISORS AND THE LEFT AND RIGHT COUNTER SUPPORTS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ROOF FUNCTION CENTER (FZD) .
- Refer to REMOVING INTERIOR ROOF LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT B-PILLAR TRIM PANELS PARTIALLY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR LEFT AND RIGHT HANDLE .

Precondition
The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the bottom.
The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.
The rear seat backrest is folded down toward the front.
- Unscrew the screw (1) at the headlining (2).
- Unclip the headlining (1) at the clips (2) downwards.
- Carefully detach the headlining (1) from the sliding/tilting sunroof case at the clamps in the area of the line (3).
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- With the help of another person, feed out the headlining (1) from the respective edge protections.
- Place the headlining (1) in the vehicle with an support person.
