Remove the door sill trim panel
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DOOR .
- Refer to RELEASING THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL PARTIALLY .
NOTE:

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
Remove the outer section of the door sill trim panel
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release nuts (2).
- Release the detents (1) with a suitable tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329) .
- Release the trim on the door sill trim panel (2) with the outer section of the door sill trim panel (3) from the detents (arrows) beginning from the rear.
- Release the trim on the door sill trim panel (1) with the outer section of the door sill trim panel (2) at the clips (3) and remove with a support person.
Remove the inner section of the door sill trim panel
NOTE:
To provide a better overview: Schematic diagram with partially hidden components.
- Loosen the clips (arrows).
- Release the inner section of the door sill trim panel from the detents (1) with a suitable tool starting from the rear.
- Release the inner section of the door sill trim panel with the clips (2) and guide out with a support person.
