Installing the tailgate trim panel

Check the clips (1) for damage and replace if necessary.

Position the tailgate trim panel (2) and secure with expanding rivets (1).
If installed: Attach and lock the plug connection of the switch for the automatic tailgate operation.

Clip in the tailgate trim panel (2) with the clips (1).

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Clip in the trim panel for the hinge of the trunk lid (4) on the clip fastening (3).
Fasten expanding rivet (2).
Clip in lugs (1).

Position the bracket of the warning triangle (1) and clip it into the latch mechanisms (2).

Install the warning triangle (2).
Clip in the cover (1).
