Installing the tension spring for the trunk lid
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.
Injury hazard!

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
CAUTION:
Tension spring.
Injury hazard!
Injury hazard!
- Wear hand protection while removing and installing the tension spring.

NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Positions (1) up to (3) influence the closing force of the tension spring.
If changing the closing force is necessary: see additional information.
- Feed in the tension spring (1) at the hinge (3).
Reattach the tension spring (1) on the rear holder (2) in the same position.
