Remove bearing bracket for pedal mechanism

Precondition 

• Vehicles without airbag module for driver and knee protection

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .

• Retract release tool 2 409 646 between brake pedal and brake booster
• Apply support (1) of the release tool 2 409 646 on the bearing bracket. If necessary, position the support by rotating the screw on the release tool

• Push release tool 2 409 646 in the direction of the arrow and lever out the brake pedal from brake booster

• Disconnect plug connection (1)

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect

• Loosen nuts (1)

• Release screw (1) and remove bearing bracket (2)
