Removing the positive battery cable
WARNING:
Working on 12 V electrical system.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

Positive battery cable
- Unfasten nut (1) .
- Thread out positive battery cable (2) and set it aside.
- Loosen clamp (3) .
- Unlock the cover (1) .
- Loosen screw (2) .
- Remove positive battery cable (3) and remove.
- Unfasten nut (1) .
- Thread out positive battery cable (2) and set it aside.
- Release the positive battery cable (1) from the clamps (2) and set it aside.
- Disconnect and remove the positive battery cable (1) from the clamps (arrows).
