Removing and installing (replacing) trim panel for storage shelf (version with through-loading system) (2016-2022)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove left/right SEAT BELT COVER .
• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR ROOF PILLAR AT REAR  left/right
• Reposition left/right rear seat backrest

Pull off gasket (1) from storage shelf (2).

Release expanding rivet (1).

Slightly raise storage shelf (2) at front and unlock and detach plug connections underneath for speaker.

Remove storage shelf (2) toward the inside.

Installation note: 

Make sure storage shelf is correctly seated in ventilation grille (1).

In the case of replacement with appropriate version: 

• Modify left/right speaker. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR MID-RANGE SPEAKER (IN STORAGE SHELF) (M2) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR TWEETER (IN STORAGE SHELF) (M2) .
