Remove the backrest cover with the upholstery for the front seat

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.

Removing the trim for seat unlocking
- Loosen screw (1).
- Feed out the trim for the seat unlocking (2).
- Detach detents (1).
- Open zipper (1).
- Unlock the plug connection (2) and disconnect; clip out cable bracket.
- Detach welt (3).
- Detach backrest covering (5) at the detents (4) (arrows).
- Detach (1) the holder.
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Pull out the backrest cover upwards (2) completely with the side airbag.
