Checking the hydraulic fluid level of the hydraulic unit
Precondition
Open and close convertible top completely twice.
The convertible top is closed.
- Pull the control unit (1) out of the foam backing (2).
- Pull the control unit (1) out of the foam backing (2).
- Feed out the foam backing (2).
- Release the retaining strap (1).
- Feed out the control unit (1), unlock the existing plug connections and disconnect them.
- Unfasten plug connections (2).
- Feed out the foam backing (1).
- Feed out the hydraulic unit (2) and place it in the trunk.
- Release cable tie (1).
- Remove the hydraulic unit from the sound insulation (2).
Check
- Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
- Place the hydraulic unit (1) horizontally in the trunk.
- Open and close convertible top completely twice.
- With the convertible top closed, the oil level must be within the mark (2).
Result
» Oil level outside of the mark (2).
Measure
- Undo the screw (3) and correct the oil level.
- Insert the hydraulic unit into the sound insulation (2).
- Secure cable tie (1).
- Feed in hydraulic unit (2) and position it.
- Feed in foam backing (1) and position it.
- Insert existing connectors on the control unit (1) and lock them.
- Feed in control unit (1) and position it.
- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
- Close the retaining strap (1).
- Feed in foam backing (2) and position it.
- Insert the control unit (1) into the foam backing (2).
- Insert the control unit (1) into the foam backing (2).
