Removing the 12-V power socket in the cup holder

Precondition 

• The lid of the storage compartment is open

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING CUP HOLDER .

• Unclip the connector housing (1).
• Unclip the LED (2) and pull it out of the cup holder.
• Unclip the cable on the cable bracket (arrows).

• Turn the head of the special tool (1) towards the left until both marks are positioned opposite each other.
• Carefully insert the special tool (1) into the 12 V power socket (3).
• If applicable, turn the special tool (1) carefully to the left until the recesses (2) of the special tool engage in the contacts (4) of the 12 V power socket (3).
• Turn the head of the special tool (1) to the right until the special tool locks in the 12 V power socket (3).

• Pull the special tool 0 496 588 (61 0 250) with the 12-V power socket (1) out of the cup holder (2).
• Feed out associated cables.
