Removing the decorative strip on the dashboard
Precondition
- The steering wheel is adjusted downwards all the way back.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage of high-quality surfaces .
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces .
Damage of high-quality surfaces .
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces .
- Protect surfaces from damage.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE COVER ON THE DASHBOARD .
- Release the screws (1) at side on the decorative strip (2).
- Carefully unclip the decorative strip (2) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) from the clamps (3).
- Lift off the decorative strip (2) and unlock and disconnect the existing plug connections.
- Remove decorative strip (2).
