Removing the centering for the prop shaft
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE WATER CHANNEL LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TAIL LIGHT ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DIFFUSER .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH EXHAUST COVERS .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING TANK COVER ON LEFT AND RIGHT .

- Use special tool 2 450 247
to remove the centering bearing.
- Insert pin (1) and pin (2) of the special tool 2 450 247 in the centering bearing of the prop shaft.
- Turn pin (1)
by 90° in relation to pin (2)
.
- Insert the pin (2)
between pins (1)
and (3)
of the special tool 2 450 247
in the centering bearing of the prop shaft.
- Lock the special tool 2 450 247
by turning the sleeve (1)
.
The pins (2) are retained by the sleeve (1) .
- Install the guide sleeve (1) .
- Screw the special tool 0 490 497 (00 8 550) (3)
with the special tool 2 450 247 (2)
and support at the guide sleeve (1)
.
- Turn the nut (1)
in arrow direction and pull out the centering bearing.
