Removing The Outer Section Of The A-Pillar

Mark and carry out the separating cut (1) as per dimension a. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel. Dimension a = 30 mm from the center of the hole of 0 20 mm.

Mark and carry out the separating cut (1) as per dimension a. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel. Dimension a = 150 mm.
Open welded connections in area (2).

Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (3).

Damage to bonded connection .
Influence of heat that is too large leads to damage on bonded connections lying on the beading or below .
- Warm bonded connection only for a short time, maximum up to 120°C.

Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (2).
Do not damage the bonded connection between the second and third panel in area (3)!
Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (1).
Release and remove the A-pillar outer part from the cavity sealing (2).
