Remove headlining

Precondition 

• Battery charger connected.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING WINDSHIELD PANEL TRIM .

• Loosen blind rivet (1).

• Release the headlining (1) on the clamps (2).

• Fold the headlining (1) down and detach at the springs (2).

  NOTE: The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.
• Release the headlining (1) by opening the first two zippers (2) of the convertible top fabric.

  NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.
• Unhook the tension cables (1) on the mounting plate of the C-pillar (2).

• Slightly lift the retaining tab (3) on the hinge (2) with a suitable tool.
• Detach the mounting plate (1) downwards from the hinge (2).

• Release the headlining (1) by opening the two rear zippers (2) of the convertible top fabric.

• Feed out the headlining (1) on the edge stripping (2) in the marked area.

• Feed out the headlining (1) in the marked area around the rear window on the edge stripping (2).
  NOTE: Start feeding out at center bottom, as the edge stripping is separated there.
