Replacing the rear bumper cover

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
• Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE WATER CHANNEL LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TAIL LIGHT ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DIFFUSER .
• Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING BOTH EXHAUST COVERS .
• Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING TOWING EYE COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING BOTH REAR REFLECTORS .

• Unclip the clamp (2).
• Release locks (1) and remove cover (3).

• Detach the retaining lugs (1).
• Remove the ultrasonic sensor (2) with the vehicle wiring harness.
• Perform the steps on all other ultrasonic sensors.

• Check decoupling ring (1) for damage and, if necessary, replace it.

  The decoupling ring must not be missing.

• Replace the rear bumper cover.

  Parts:  Bumper cover

• Clip ultrasonic sensor (2) with the wiring harness into retaining lugs (1) of the rear bumper cover.
• Perform the steps on all other ultrasonic sensors.

• Install cover (3) on the rear bumper cover and clip in locks (1).
• Clip in clamp (2).
