Installing the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on the right

Installing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version) 

• Attach the Bowden cable (2).
• Fasten the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate to the holder.

Installing luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel 

• Insert the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1) and feed it into the front guides (2).
• Feed in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1) in the rear area below the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.

• Attach the Bowden cable (4).
• Install the backrest remote unlocking (5) in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1).
• Hook the Bowden cable (2) and clip in the emergency unlocking (3).

  NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
• Secure expanding rivet (1).

• Secure the multifunction hook with the expanding rivet (4).
• Tighten screws (3) of lashing eyes (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Lashing point to body
  M8 screw	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Clip in covers (1) of lashing eyes (2).
