Install the rear window

• Remove the adhesive bead (1) on the body using special tool 0410 436  .
• Clean the bonding surfaces on the body and the rear window.

• Fasten the cable on the rear window with adhesive tape.

• Provide two glue cartridges.
• Prepare a glue cartridge with standard nozzle C.
• Apply bead joint in area (1).
• Apply adhesive bead (2) within the mark on the rear window.

  Adhesive bead
  	a = Position of adhesive bead to the tolerance band	0.5 mm... 1.5 mm
  	b = Width	7 mm... 9 mm
  	h = Height	11 mm... 13 mm

• Detach the liner (protective film) from the adhesive strips (3).
• Open trunk lid approx. 1/3 and secure in this position.
• Carefully guide rear window (1) with the suction lifters parallel to the C-pillar and feed it in under the tailgate.
• Carefully position rear window (1) with the suction lifters at the top and align it evenly at the sides.
• Carefully push up the rear window (1) with the suction lifters upwards until the seal rests evenly on the roof.
• Carefully and evenly press down the rear window 1 with the suction lifters all around and adjust the gap dimensions.

• Measure the recessed (b) of the rear window (1) to the roof outer skin (2) with the special tool 0 495 259 (51 0 010)  .

  Measure gap dimension (a) with the special tool 0 496 076 (00 9 470)  .

• Secure rear window (1) with adhesive tap on the roof.
