Removing the electrical spindle drive for trunk lid

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the spindle drive .
If the trunk lid is not opened completely, the spindle drive may be damaged .

- Remove and install the spindle drive only when the Trunk lid is open to the maximum extent.

Preliminary work

- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the cable clip (2).
- Before removing the electrical spindle drive (1) for the trunk lid, make sure that the ball socket (2) is relieved.
- First uninstall ball socket (2) at trunk lid. Then release ball socket (2) at body.
- Raise retaining spring (3) slightly with small screwdriver (4).
- Detach the electrical spindle drive (1) for the trunk lid from the ball hub and remove.
