Installing the tension spring for the left tailgate
- Before installing the tension spring (1), make sure that the retaining spring (2) is in its initial position in arrow direction.
- Check the retaining spring for damage; replace the tension spring if necessary.
- Position the tension spring (1) on the ball sockets on the ball pins and snap it in with force in arrow direction.
The gas pressure spring must not be pressed in the center, but must always be pressed on the ball sockets on the ball pins.
The tension spring (1) must snap-in correctly and audibly.
