Removing the drive for the convertible top latch

Precondition 

• Battery charger connected.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING WINDSHIELD PANEL TRIM .

• Disconnect plug connection (1).
• Release locking splint (2).
• Detach adapter for emergency operation (3).

• Open retaining clip (1) and unclip the spherical heads (2).
• Loosen nuts (3).
• Fold the engine for the convertible top latch (4) forward.
• Make sure that the cables of the Hall effect sensors are not damaged.

• Loosen screw (1).
• Detach and feed out the engine (2) from the engine for the convertible top latch (3).
