Partially removing the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on the left and right
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Removing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder.
- Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate.
Partially removing luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel
- Loosen expanding rivet (1).
- Release the hinge cover (1) from the left luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) and leave it hanging at the hinge bracket.
- Feed out the left luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) under the sealing lip of the seal for the trunk lid.
