Removing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)
NOTE:

- Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder.
- Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate.
- Loosen expanding rivet (1).
- Unclip the emergency release (3) and detach the
- Bowden cable (2).
- Feed out the right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (4) under the sealing lip of the seal for the tailgate and release in the rear area.

- Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder.
- Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate.
- Loosen expanding rivet (1).
- Release the hinge cover (1) from the right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) and leave it hanging on the hinge bracket.
- Feed out the right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) under the sealing lip of the seal for the trunk lid and detach it in the rear area.
