Installing radial shaft seal of the bearing bracket
NOTE:
The figure shows the procedure for the front axle differential. The procedure for the bearing bracket is identical.
- Install the radial shaft seal
- Coat the housing of the sheet metal flange of the radial shaft seal with the approved front differential fluid; see "FLUID CAPACITIES" tab for the selected vehicle.
- Drive in the radial shaft seal up to the stop using the special tool 0 493 539 (31 5 130).
- Remove special tool 0 493 539 (31 5 130).
