Install the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on the left and right
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Installing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Attach the Bowden cable (2).
- Fasten the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate to the holder.
Installing luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel
- Insert the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1) and feed it into the front guides (2).
- Feed in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1) in the rear area below the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
- Attach the Bowden cable (4).
- Install the backrest remote unlocking (5) in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (1).
- Hook the Bowden cable (2) and clip in the emergency unlocking (3).
NOTE:

- Secure expanding rivet (1).
- Secure the multifunction hook with the expanding rivet (4).
- Tighten screws (3) of lashing eyes (2).
