Remove the right door sill trim panel

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the door sill trim panel

Loosen screws (1).
Loosen nuts (2).

Loosen the expanding rivet (1).

Release the door sill trim panel (1) with a suitable tool starting with the detents (2) at the rear.

Release the door sill trim panel with the clip (1).
Slide the door sill trim panel towards the front in order to release the detents (2) from the retaining strip (3).
Release the door sill trim panel with the detents (2) from the retaining strip (3) and remove.
