Adjusting rear lid lock

• Lever out the covers (1) with a suitable screwdriver and remove.
• Loosen screws (2) until the tailgate lock can be shifted.
• Adjust tailgate lock so that the tailgate has the predefined gap dimension relative to the rear bumper panel.

Check 

• Check the gap dimensions (arrows) between the tailgate and rear bumper cover.

Result 

» Gap dimension between the tailgate and the rear bumper cover does not comply with the specifications.

Measure

• Adjust the lower part of the tailgate lock.

• Tighten down screws (2).

  Hexagon screw M8x20	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Clip in the covers (1).
• Adjust the stop pad (1) of the trunk lid by twisting it.
