Installing the eccentric shaft (cylinder head removed)

Check all guide bushings (1) for damage in the marked areas, replace if necessary.

Clean all bearing positions (1) in the cylinder head and coat with engine oil.

Check all needle bearings (arrows) of the eccentric shaft for ease of movement.
If the needle bearings are stiff, replace the eccentric shaft.

Slide the needle bearing (1) up to the stop in arrow direction before installing the eccentric shaft.

Clean all the needle bearings (1) of the eccentric shaft and coat with engine oil.

Thread in eccentric shaft (1) and install.

Clean bearing positions (1) of the bearing brackets and coat with motor oil.
Clean the bearing position (2) of the bearing cap and coat with motor oil.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Engine damage caused by incorrectly installed bearing shells and bearing brackets.
If the bearing shells and bearing brackets are installed incorrectly, then engine damage can occur.

Always install all bearing shells and bearing brackets in the same position from which they were removed.

Thread in bearing brackets (1) to (6) (arrows) and install.
The bearing brackets (1) to (6) must be installed respectively on the location , from which the bearing brackets (1) to (6) have been removed.
Feed in and install the bearing cap (A) .
Tighten the screws in the marked areas.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Eccentric shaft to bearing bracket/cylinder head
M6	Tightening torque	10 Nm
