Remove front door trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

- Protect surfaces from damage.
Removing the cover of the door handle
- Pull the door opener.
- Position a suitable special tool from the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329) in the recesses in areas (1) and unclip cover (2) of the door opener with detents (3).
- Pull out cover (2) of the door opener from the guides and remove it towards the front.
Removing the cover on the handle
- Get the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329)
ready.
- Attach suitable plastic base (1) on the lower corner of the cover on the handle.
- Slide in suitable tool (2) evenly between plastic base (1) and the cover on the handle.
- Gradually slide the plastic base (1) and the tool (2) upwards. In doing so, release the cover on the handle from the detents (3).
- Turn the cover on the handle inward in the direction of the arrow about 35° in order to release the clip (1).
- Turn the cover on the handle back in the direction of the arrow about 25°.
- Unclip and remove the clip (1) and the cover on the handle with the special tool 2 298 505 as shown.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the front door trim panel from the clamp (1) with a suitable tool.
- Release the front door trim panel from the clip (2) and clamps (3).
- Release the front door trim panel from the clips (1) with a suitable tool.
- Release the front door trim panel from the clips (2).
- Guide the front door trim panel out of the mounting clip (3) in the direction of the arrow.
- Remove Bowden cable (1) from the guide (2) and detach the door lock (3).
- Unlock all plug connections and disconnect.
- Unclip the wiring harness (1) from the front door trim panel and remove the front door trim panel.
