Remove Right Tailgate Hinge

Release the electrical spindle drive on the right hinge arm

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the spindle drive .
If the trunk lid is not opened completely, the spindle drive may be damaged .

Remove and install the spindle drive only when the Trunk lid is open to the maximum extent.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Before removing the electrical spindle drive (1) for the trunk lid, make sure that the ball socket (2) is relieved.
Raise each retaining spring (3) on the hinge arm slightly with a small screwdriver (4).
Detach the electrical spindle drive (1) on the hinge arm from the ball hub and set it aside.

Release wiring harness (1) from the hinge arm (arrows) and set it aside.

Loosen nuts (1).
Remove tailgate hinge (2) downwards.
