Removing The Front Left Side Panel

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER .
- Refer to REMOVE THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE HOOD SEAL MOUNT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE INNER DOOR SILL COVER STRIP .
- Refer to REMOVE THE ILLUMINATED FRONT SILL TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE DOOR SILL TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVE FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVE THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER FRONT .
- Mask the area (1) on the headlight and on the bumper cover with plastic adhesive tape.
- Mask the area (1) of the door with plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove the sound insulation (1) and (2).
- Release the screws (1) of the bumper cover (2).
- Release the bumper cover (2) from the side panel.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release the cable (1) from the bracket of the side panel.
- Loosen screw (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Open the front door.
Pull the sealing (1) down slightly in the direction of the arrow.
- Loosen screw (2).
- Close front door.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the side panel in the sequence and direction shown.
- In the lower area of the A-pillar (1) release the side panel outwards.
- Release the side panel in the area of the headlights (2) towards the rear.
Pay attention to the headlight locking mechanism (3).
