Completely Removing Upper Cowl Panel And A-Pillar
- Perform coarse separating cut (1) as shown.
- Perform coarse separating cut (1) as shown.
Cut through A-pillar (2) completely and remove cowl panel.

- Release outer section of A-pillar from cavity sealing (4) and remove.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (2),
- Remove connecting plate (3),
- Remove cavity sealing (4),
- Carry out the rough separating cuts (1) on the bulkhead (4).
- Partially open the welded connections in areas (2) with a file belt grinder.
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (3).
- Remove bulkhead (4).
- Open welded connections in areas (1) and remove crash reinforcement (2).
- Mark separating cut (1) according to dimension a and cut.
In so doing, do not damage the bulkhead (2) underneath.
Dimension a = 110 m.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (2).
- Release lower reinforcement of A-pillar from cavity sealing (3) and remove.
- Perform separating cuts (1) as shown.
Open welded connections in area (2) and remove sheet metal cutout (3).
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Remove cavity sealing (2).
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2) and remove A-pillar reinforcement (3).
- Open welded connections in area (1).
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2) and remove A-pillar inner section (3).
- Open brazed connection (1).
- Open welded connection (2).
- Open welded connections (1) to (3) and remove cowl panel section (4).
