Preparing New Part

Release the welded connections in the area (1) with the file belt sander. In area (1), prepare the new part and body for joining by plug-welding.
In areas (2), open the welded connections from the inside. In areas (2), prepare the new part and body for joining by spot-welding.

Additional steps when installing the side panel:
Mark and perform the separating cuts on the side panel new part in the roof frame area in accordance with separating cuts on the vehicle.
Prepare the reinforcement plates for the separating cuts on the roof frame.
Adjust the side panel new part.
Prepare the separating cuts and reinforcement plates (1) for joining by welding.
