Preparing New Parts
- Mark and cut the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

- Adjust reinforcement plates and new part to fit.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Structural adhesive bonding .
Observe preparation of bonding surfaces.
For additional information see: 41 00... BMW bonding instructions - Prepare the area (1) for the structural adhesive bonding of steel on steel.
- In the area (1), set 9 bore holes of 0 4.2 mm for the blind rivets.
Do not hereby drill into or through the existing production spot-welds.
Set bore holes only between the existing production spot-welds.

- In areas (2), observe the procedure while replacing the spot-welded adhesive joints of the standard production.
- Remove new part and deburr bores.
Renew T-bolt
NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details. - Take the quantity and position from the component to be renewed.
- Renew T-bolts (1).
Parts: T-bolt
- Weld the T-bolt (1) onto the new part.
