Install A-Pillar Reinforcement

Apply sealant D1 to cavity sealing (1).
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985

Install cavity sealing (1).
Apply sealant D1 to the outer cavity sealing (2).
Install the new part with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture.
Weld new part in the areas (1) to (3) as per the new part preparation process.
In so doing, avoid excessive heat input in the adhesive areas (4) behind.
In the areas (3) apply repair spot-welds to the series spot-welds.

Install new crash reinforcement part (2) and weld in the areas (1).

Install bulkhead (1) and weld in the areas (2) and (3) as per the new part preparation process.

Pre-clean adhesive area (1) on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R2.

Clean adhesive area (1) on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R1.
