Extending the roll bar
Precondition
- Both rear seats folded down.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Unclip covers (1).
- Detach the retaining clip (1) from the roll bar (2).
Check
- Manually pull out the roll bar (1) up to the stop.
- Check whether the driving roll bar (1) can be easily pulled out.
- Check if the roll bar (1) engages in the end position.
Result
» The roll bar (1) cannot be easily pulled out.
The roll bar (1) does not engage in the end position.
Measure
- Replace the rollover protection (1).
